Tewinkle Park in Costa Mesa, California is an excellent location for photographers to take family portraits. This is one of my favorite places to shoot. Shooting here has a number of advantages. In addition to the fact that this government run facility is free, the reason for this favorable appraisal can be summed up in one word: diversity.
The park has a large play complex. This complex has bright colors with a green hill in the back ground. This is a perfect place in which to photograph children. The colors are fantastic and it allows for a relaxed fun environment – perfect for taking those precious candid shots that all parents adore. Behind the playground there is an artificial stream and lake. The lake is a deep green and contains ducks and other fowl. In addition there is a large rocky hill that contains lush vegetation.
All of these diverse factors add up to a wonderful location to take pictures that allows for a wide range of shots. It is regularly used for weddings pictures, engagement pictures, senior portraits and prom group shots. The park is large and then there is a ladder a crowded feeling. In addition, there is across the street, there is an equestrian facility on which your clients can go horseback riding. This provides for some very unique shots.
There are a number of good locations in Orange County for taking pictures – the beach, the Back Bay, and mission offer number of parks and unique styles. However, Tewinkle Park, a free, government run location offers a wide variety of shots in a convenient location within Costa Mesa, CA.
